Discover How Much ARB Tokens Will Be Worth After the Arbitrum Airdrop

Published

on

Arbitrum recently announced the launch and airdrop of its native governance token called ARB. The token has yet to be distributed, with the developer team indicating ARB will hit eligible wallets on March 23. Optimism’sOP token is a good starting place for estimating ARB token valuations, with the team announcing its token launch back in April 2022. CoinGecko data shows that Optimism’s market capitalization is roughly $839 million, with each token priced at $2.63. ARB’s circulating supply will be approximately 1.275 billion after the airdrop on Thursday, with the total supply being 10 billion tokens. If the ARB token hits the same valuation as OP, the price of ARB would be $0.65. The FDV of a token is calculated by multiplying its market price by the total supply, and if the ARB token trades at a similar FDV as Optimism, the price of the ARB token will be around $1.15. Analysts are also turning to the project’s total value locked (TVL) to calculate the token’s valuation. The TVL ratio for Arbitrum and Optimism is 1.8, giving another estimate of $1.16 and $2.07 based on the market cap and FDV respectively. ARB tokens could thus trade anywhere between $0.64 and $2.07. This is good news for early Arbitrum users, who have been allocated 625 ARB tokens and could receive between $400 and $1,250 in tokens, with the highest allocation per address being 10,250 ARB tokens, where roughly 4,400 wallets could receive anywhere between $6,500 and $20,600 in tokens.

This is good news for the cryptocurrency community as Arbitrum’s new token could provide a valuable asset for DeFi users. The launch and airdrop of ARB tokens have generated a lot of interest and speculation, with analysts using various metrics to estimate the token’s price. The total value locked in the network, combined with the circulating supply of tokens and the fully diluted valuation, can all be used to measure the token’s worth and generate an estimation of the token’s price range.

Justin Sun Predicts Huobi Crypto Exchange to Secure Hong Kong License in Under a Year

Published

By

Tron founder and advisor to the exchange, Justin Sun, has stated that Huobi could get a Hong Kong crypto license in six to twelve months. Specifically, Sun told Coindesk that the exchange applied to become a virtual asset service provider (VASP) last week. Additionally, Sun discussed the process of the VASP application and his belief that the crypto exchange could have an answer by the end of the year. Huobi had recently relocated to Hong Kong, aiming to launch Huobi Hong Kong by the summer. Sun was asked about embracing potential competition in the Canadian market and noted the strict regulatory standards in the country, referring to the Caribbean, Hong Kong, and Japan. There has been no verification of other cryptocurrency exchanges that have applied for a similar license, however, Coindesk reported Sun’s expectation that five to six other exchanges could make the move.

This news is good for Huobi as they are in the process of obtaining a crypto license in Hong Kong, which would allow them to operate in the region and serve customers. Other exchanges may also apply for the license, and the grace period given to the exchange could provide them with the opportunity to get approval in the next six to twelve months.
